Creating a Dynamic Library Atmosphere

Dec 3rd, 2009 | By tgreenwalt | Category: Upcoming Events

What’s the first thing people see when they come into your library?  Is the soda machine really the first impression you want to make? Librarians are gifted verbal thinkers–come and see how you can think more visually, and make some changes in your surroundings for little or no money!

Please join Sally Decker Smith, who has pursued and shared many interests in her 30 years in Libraryland and Ted Swigon, former Exhibits Director at the Museum of Science and Industry, for a lively and informative discussion.

Update:

Sally and Ted are raising the stakes. Do you have a space in your library that you’d like to redesign? Send us a photo, and we’ll discuss it in the presentation. We’re hoping to get about 10 good examples. Those brave souls who offer their libraries up will receive some great advice on improving their environment.

Send your photos to Michaela Haberkern. We do ask that only one space per library is submitted.  We look forward to seeing your examples!
